Accessibility statement

Last updated : 1 October 2026

This English text is for convenience. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Toegankelijkheidsverklaring

In brief

  • This statement is voluntary: three people on the team, not a public body.
  • We aim the site at WCAG 2.2 level AA, without claiming a badge or certificate.
  • Known limits: session photos are atmosphere shots, and the building has not been assessed for wheelchair access.
  • Report a barrier via [email protected]; we reply within 3 working days.
  • The Dutch text is authoritative; English is an informative translation.

1. Who issues this document

Culticlayer B.V. publishes this statement for the website culticlayer.click and for visits to the recording studio at Bilderdijkstraat 112, 1053 KW Amsterdam. Contact: [email protected], 020 737 4821. Opening hours: Tuesday–Friday 10:00–19:00, Saturday 12:00–17:00. Closed Sunday and Monday.

The team is three people: Lars Hendriks, Sophie Willems and Daan Prins. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), implemented in the Netherlands by the Act implementing accessibility requirements for products and services, leaves micro-enterprises that provide services outside the hard duty. We publish this text anyway, so you know what does and does not hold. It is not a certificate and not a full conformity declaration.

2. Which framework we follow

For the site we use WCAG 2.2, level AA, and the related European standard EN 301 549 as a guide. We check with a keyboard, with a screen reader on a common operating system, and with contrast checks. There has been no external audit and we claim no badge.

The site is static HTML and CSS, without a heavy application layer. Pages have a skip link to the content, a visible focus, captions on photos and headings in a logical order. Legal pages, such as this text, the privacy policy and the cookie policy, are written in plain language and have a short summary at the top.

3. What we have done on the site

  • Text and interactive elements keep contrast that takes AA as a floor.
  • Form fields on the contact page have visible labels; the legal consent line sits next to the send button.
  • The cookie banner can be reached with a keyboard and has three actions of equal weight; see article 4 of the cookie policy.
  • Images have a short, factual caption. Decorative details get an empty or descriptive alternative, not a marketing line.
  • No automatically playing sound, no flashing ads, no content that exists only as an image of text.
  • Bilingual pages (Dutch and English) have language attributes per language version.

Practical help for a session, for example the vocal session checklist or loudness for streaming, lives in the guides as ordinary HTML, not as a scanned leaflet.

4. Known limitations

We know these limits and will work on them when we rebuild pages:

  • Atmosphere photos of the live room, the booths and the street are documentary or generated images; they illustrate mood and are not a technical plan of steps or routes.
  • Rate tables, such as €175 per track of Mixing or €520 for an album of up to twelve tracks, sit in HTML tables. On a narrow screen you may need to scroll sideways.
  • External help pages from browsers or from the Dutch Data Protection Authority sit outside our code.
  • We have not had the site tested by an independent accessibility lab; visitor feedback is therefore especially welcome.

If you find a block that is not listed here, write to us. We will add it to this list until it is fixed.

5. The studio on Bilderdijkstraat

The workplace is in a street-facing building in Oud-West, with 4 rooms: a live room of 38 m², 2 isolation booths and a control room with 24 inputs and 22 microphones in house. Up to 4 people sit at the talk table. We have not had the building assessed for wheelchair access and we do not promise a lift or a step-free route. If you need a threshold noted, a quiet arrival, a rest spot or extra time, say so when you book. We then look at what this building can actually offer, without promising something we have not checked.

How to get here: Tram 7 stops at Bilderdijkstraat; from the Bilderdijkstraat stop it is about a 3-minute walk to number 112. From Amsterdam Centraal, tram 7 towards Slotervaart takes roughly 12 minutes. By bike from Leidseplein it is about 8 minutes via Overtoom. A map link is on contact and on OpenStreetMap. The street is an ordinary Amsterdam city street; after confirmation we send a short practical email.

6. Feedback

Report an inaccessible page, a form that stalls or a problem in the building via [email protected] or 020 737 4821. Name the page or the room, the browser or assistive tools you use, and what you expected. We reply within 3 working days and say what we can or cannot change. Formal GDPR requests follow the one-month period in the privacy policy, article 9.

7. Supervision and next steps

For digital consumer services the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets supervises the European accessibility rules. Information: acm.nl. For personal data the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens remains competent: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. We ask you to write to us first; a complaint to a supervisor stays open if we cannot resolve it together.

8. Drafting and review

This statement was drafted by the Culticlayer team, not by an external inspection body. Effective date: 1 October 2026. Last checked: 1 October 2026. We revise the text when the site or the building changes in a material way, and at least when we update the rest of the legal pages. Company details: legal notice. Booking or questions: contact or the about page.
